As Data starts to wonder if the Exocomp is alive in “Quality of life”, the camera pans around him. We see his paintings, his mirror, what I think is his Sherlock Holmes coat in the corner, his collections and a bonsai tree that Keiko probably gave him. Symbols of his creativity, self reflection, memories and friendships.

Everything that constitutes his life, in a way. 

Despite being a machine created by someone, he is clearly alive. That’s a beautiful way of saying “Data is undeniably alive - so might not this machine also be?”.
