I just want to say thanks.

I googled PMDD as I didn’t know what it was and read up a bit about it and all of the ‘symptoms’ is what I get. I didn’t know it was a thing so hopefully I can look into it more and find out something to help me!

i’m so glad i could help!! i hope you’re able to find a treatment that’ll help manage your symptoms and make things easier!!

i’d definitely recommend keeping track of your mental health and other symptoms over the next few months just so you can see a pattern and have a more concrete visual to look back on/bring to a doctor in the future!

I self-diagnosed myself with PMDD about a year ago. I think I had googled something like "bi-polar before my period" (i genuinely thought i was manic bc of the extreme shifts in emotions i was having) and thats how i learned about PMDD. My suspicions were confirmed when i went on birth control and the symptoms went away.🙃

i have a doctors appointment in october so i think i’m going to see if i can get on birth control to compare (and also just help my regular period aches) so hopefully that’ll help!

i’ve been observing a pattern over the past year but really started to put two and two together maybe a couple months ago? i actually wouldn’t have known it was a thing if it weren’t for a post i read here on tumblr talking about it which i’m very glad i saw!

PMDD sucks so bad i literally cannot get myself to do anything for basically an entire half of the month
