This time we’re looking at publicity photos from “The Man Trap” with Sandra Gimpel in and out of her costume. Ms. Gimpel was originally a dancer who learned to perform stunt work and had already been on the first Star Trek pilot “The Cage” as one of the Talosians in the background. One last round of publicity photos from “The Man Trap” on Sunday.

if you were gonna let one star trek character say fuck which would it be?

no one else gets to say it but the character you pick can say fuck as often as they want

ok when this gets to 1000 notes i’ll stop taking responses

the results are in! bones came first with data in close second, and kira in third place.

[image id: a pie chart detailing the results of this impromptu poll. notably, bones’ slice is largest with 13%, data’s is second with 12%, and kira’s is third with 8%. /end id]

i hope this is legible! i only included characters with more than one vote so that it wasn’t ridiculous. also as a disclaimer: this used probably the most unreliable data collection method, so this shouldn’t be used in any scientific context, but as a general rule where people listed more than two characters per series i took either their strongest preference, or, if it was not clear, the first character listed.

fun observations:

- most people who voted for dax voted for the symbiont, so that’s the largest possible amount of Fuckery

-  george and gracie, the whales from the voyage home, had more votes than captain kirk until i asked my brother

- lots of people voted on the character they thought deserved the fuck the most! i didn’t specify a motivation for them being granted the fuck, so it’s interesting that people used merit/earning it as a metric for that

This is the content I’m here for.

When the Enterprise makes a brief stop at Deep Space Nine for some scheduled repairs, an unexpected guest drops by the Ops Center after using a unique message pattern only Kira recognizes. It seems the Major has a past, as well as some unfinished business, with one of the newest ensigns on-board Starfleet’s flagship.
