#forever glad because zq is spock #he prob has practice being steady in the face of cpine’s bullshit #see: world tour #cpine: ‘i gotta work out more’ [makes pumping motions with his arms; looks at zach #]zq: [stares over interviewer’s shoulder] #zach probably initially received the direction to be as halting physically as spock is emotionally with kirk #and he just stared over the cameraman’s shoulder and made his own damn choices #but no i think it’s really important that though spock can be emotionally yielding to kirk as he tries to be in touch with his own humanity #and totally vulcan and unyielding in other ways #he probably calculated the trajectory of kirk’s moves twelve steps ago and realized he’d never have to slow down at all #the same way when kirk’s running at mach ii through the halls of the enterprise #everyone bolts of of the way #except spock who just neatly steps aside at the last second and interrupts his stride as little as possible #(uhura has always stood her ground with kirk but now she learns from spock now not to give kirk any either) #(and also spock’s steady grace is kinda hot so win/win really) #(mccoy as you know prefers to run after kirk three feet behind also at mach ii) #(he and spock scowl at each other often each feeling that the other has the wrong idea) (tags via historianisms)
