"Right now, I am failing" — One of the most beautiful, loving lines in nuTrek
When Spock says this line, he is admitting that he cannot control his emotions. That this moment is causing him to feel, in ways that completely overwhelm him. What he’s saying, essentially, is this:
"You undo me. With you, I have no control. You strip me of my armor and I am raw and exposed. I can’t tell you how not to feel because you make me feel so much.”
He loves Kirk and that love is more powerful than all his training, all his self-discipline, all his vaunted logic. There is no force greater than love.
