look we love trying to explain throwaway references to upsetting alien anatomy shit in star trek but the fact of the matter is the writers DEFINITELY didn’t think about it when they wrote it in and have not thought about it since. anyway in one of the books theres this bizarre implication about ferengi reproduction that cursed me forever and it’s important that everyone else see it too
