Garak was attempting to keep himself busy on a slow day. His store had seen few customers so far so Garak had been talking to himself when he felt the need for conversation, and he was working on a new coat for Quark. The style was long with sweeping tails and while Garak didn’t enjoy that particular style he did enjoy mixing and matching a wider variety of fabrics when it came to Ferengi styles. They allowed more room to play with color and pattern.
He was double checking the shoulders on the coat. They were padded and would square the Ferengi’s shoulders a bit and make them appear wider than they were. Quark had always admired this particular design on other coats that Garak had made for him so he continued to include it.
“Small men wishing to appear larger is certainly nothing new,” Garak said to himself, as he snipped off a loose thread on one of the shoulder seams.
