conveying emotions through space scenes and color. is that a good idea for my concentration??? or at least like one piece?? ? idk i think it would be cool

like i have to do my summer work on 18x24 paper, so i was thinking dividing it in half, and do a self portrait of me showing a certain emotion, and then on the other half do a space scene that clearly depicts that emotion 

my only problem is if i want to make it flow and use the same color palette i used for the space scene for the portrait side. or if i just want to do the portrait in normal realistic colors and make it look like two different pieces on one paper. but i feel like that would look weird because there would be a lot of white open space on the portrait side compared to the space side. but also that could look cool. 

any suggestions or something??? ? sorry im just kinda typing what im thinking ?? ? ?
