I cannot fuckin believe this book was in our system at work…… I had to place it on hold from another library and it just arrived today! I went into the system while I was at work just to see how many times it’s been checked out….. twice… . . It’s been checked out TWICE since 2012 when the library put the copy in the system, AND BOTH TIMES ITS FROM THE SAME DUDE

- The fact that Julian stayed up really late reading a boring book he didn’t like just because Garak gave it to him, instead of the apparent other option of “entertaining a lady friend.”
- Julian taking Garak by the lower back to lead him to the Infirmary while they’re standing in lunch line.
- Julian immediately getting defensive when Dax asks why he’s taking Garak being evasive so personally.
- Quark specifically calling Julian to come get the drunk Garak, instead of security or a general call to the infirmary.
- Garak, in a lot of pain and drunk, with the first thing he does upon seeing Julian come into the bar is to apologize for being an ass at lunch the day before and offering to make it up to him. Including taking Julian to his quarters if that’s what it takes.
- Julian once again taking Garak by the lower back.
- The way they look at each other, when Julian says it does not matter what Garak did in the past, he’s going to help him through this no matter what.
- Julian respecting Garak’s wishes to not go to the infirmary, and setting up the medical equipment in his quarters instead. And that he’s planning to stay with him for 26+ hours straight.
- Julian forcing himself to stay awake to watch over him, even though he could simply set the computer to wake him up if Garak’s condition changes.
- Garak’s little crying sounds, and Julian putting a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
- Garak saying that the only thing he looked forward to was spending time with Julian.
- Julian knowing not to take any hateful things Garak throws at him during withdrawal personally.
- Garak asking for Julian’s forgiveness, and Julian taking his hand while he does so.
- Julian’s reaction when Tain tells him that Elim is Garak’s first name.
- Julian being very sad at lunch, until Garak comes after discharging himself from the infirmary without permission.
- Garak acknowledging how much this hurt Julian to go through with him. “what was doubtlessly a difficult time for both of us.“
- Julain keeping Garak’s secret, and Garak trusting him to.
