the reason i do my math that way is so people don’t see me counting 8+7 using my fingers like a child when i can just easily think of 8+8 in my head and just subtract one….. no i am not okay

#yes im still thinking of this post #like doesn’t everyone have combos of numbers for addition and subtraction that are just easier to remember than others?#like my brain looks at 8+7 and goes nope #it’s mostly numbers that are right next to each other that are harder for me to remember #(6+7 or 7+8 or 8+9)#but i remember doubles because they’re just halves yanno??#so my brain picks one number and then either adds or subtracts the difference of the original numbers #(6+6=12 12+1=13 or 7+7=14 14+1=15 and so on)#text
