how I feel about people saying that my art is good cause of talent

Listen here. What you see isn't talent. In fact 1% is talent and only thanks to my parents complimenting my ability to pick up a crayon and draw a circle at age four. 99% of this is hard work, crying, giving up, starting again, and accepting the fact your art will never be as perfect as you want it to be. Creating art is a skill. I didn't spend ten years of my life suffering through art for all of it to be dismissed as "talent". If you want to get as good as me or even better at art, all you have to do is do it. I'm not talented. I'm stubborn.

my number one Kink is james tiberius kirk loving his crew so much and being so devoted to his found family that he will risk his life again and again to save them, will literally ride a flimsy old motorbike into a well-armed compound with no protection other than a bit of holo tech and a couple clever traps just to free them, will fly in front of armed aliens with his body exposed on said bike to set up a shield to allow his Family to be safe long enough to beam to safety, he just loves them so much and gives them his all, he cares so much, less gross playboy kirk portrayals, more Kind Passionate Jim Kirk who loves so much with every fibre of his being, that’s that shit i like,

art takes hours to produce and seconds to consume so dont act suprised when artists get upset when their posts only get likes and no reblogs
similarly a piece of writing that takes a few minutes to read could have weeks of work behind it… dont take creativity for granted when ur getting it for free
I just wish I could tell everyone who’s ever complained of being friendzoned: “Captain Kirk has something to tell you” and then sit them down and show them this scene.
